Trees for the Future Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that plants trees in developing countries around the world. Businesses are finding value in forming partnerships to support our tree planting work, so we have created 3 different types of partnerships which they may choose from to work with Trees for the Future. Plant-a-Tree Partnership - In these partnerships businesses will commit to plant a tree, or a certain number of trees, for every product they sell, service they provide, or any other quantifiable basis on which they choose to make a contribution. In this type of partnership, the partnering business will be responsible for accounting for the amount of trees they have pledged to plant in their promotion/campaign, and then send a check for that amount of trees to Trees for the Future at the rate of 10 cents per tree (US$0.10).

Global Cooling Business™ - In these partnerships businesses pledge to plant enough trees annually to offset their yearly Carbon Dioxide emissions, which are calculated using the US EPA carbon calculator, in conjunction with any additional calculations that may be necessary for the specific business. Once the amount of CO2 has been determined the business can offset this amount by planting trees through Trees for the Future. We have calculated that one tree can sequester roughly 50 lbs of CO2 per year. The calculations behind this figure are available on our website.

Agreement

• We will become a business partner and communicate all aspects of the partnership to Trees for the Future. In turn, Trees for the Future will provide information to us regarding the projects supported through the partnership.
• We will clearly convey that all tree planting work is being conducted by Trees for the Future, for the benefit of the local communities served by Trees for the Future.
• We agree to provide written notice to Trees for the Future of any intent to mention Trees for the Future or its work in our public materials.
• Any use of Trees for the Future’s language, photos, and marketing materials must first receive written consent from Trees for the Future.
• Any usage of Trees for the Future’s logo, photographs, videos, project information, technical information and other branded material is only allowed after an initial donation of $250 (for the first 2,500 trees) is made.
• If my business/organization ceases making donations, any continued use of Trees for the Future’s logo, photographs, videos, project information, technical information and other branded material must clearly state the year in which the work was completed
• Trees for the Future reserves the right to terminate any partnership or prohibit the use of photos and materials at any time for any reason.
